The emerald embrace of the monsoon was palpable this August, with a healthy 82mm of rain gracing our skies over 23 days, a welcome nourishment for our ecosystem. This consistent rainfall contributed to an exceptionally low average Air Quality Index (AQI) of 16.4, well within the 'Good' category, a significant improvement compared to Augusts in 2022 and 2025, and even surpassing the cleaner air of 2023. Temperatures hovered comfortably between 22°C and 30.75°C, averaging a pleasant 24.8°C. Our avian residents were particularly vocal and active, with an impressive 121 species contributing to 21,997 detections. The ever-diligent Ashy Prinia once again emerged as the most frequently observed species, a constant flutter in our lush environment. It is noteworthy that in previous years (2022-2025), our historical data lacked bird species detection, a stark contrast to the thriving biodiversity observed this year, underscoring a positive ecological trend.
